Not because of $ or "underachievement" but because you do have a good wit and a talent for writing that people would enjoy. And with the state of things these days, we could all use a good laugh.

Soooo, will I still be seeing you later this month for some live-blogging or did my comment agreeing with your mother kill it for you?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30425072.post-1154656693198109682006-08-03T18:58:00.000-07:002006-08-03T18:58:00.000-07:00Hi Karen, I'm not much of a blogger-type for many ...Hi Karen, I'm not much of a blogger-type for many of the reasons you state that folks are opposed/worried about your blogging. Funny, I must have gotten SOME of the privacy genetics in the fam.

However, I do "blog" in person - just ask my husband. By that I mean that I have your same revealing, irreverent, self-deprecating sense of humor. People can be very afraid of that I have noticed - even when they think it is funny. The honesty is just more than some can take.

So, I love REAL people who are honest about life (which must be why I love you beyond the obligatory family connection). Real conversation about true thoughts, feelings and on-goings is lost in social niceties which can be so boring. So,like you, I can't help but shake it up now and again.

And though I'm not sure that I could do it on the net, I do have fun checking your blog every once in a while. Meanwhile, can't wait to see you in person later this month! Love, ValAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
